Nurse Trixie Franklin is a bright, glamorous girl in her mid-twenties who is already living and working at Nonnatus House when Jenny arrives.
All fully-fashioned nylons and lush red lipstick, Trixie loves jazz and dancing, smokes Sobranie cigarettes and, it’s fair to say, is a bit of a flirt. She has a much more outgoing disposition than Jenny, but the two share the sense of adventure in their work and become firm pals.
Trixie has recently been promoted to 'Acting Sister' at the Tuesday Ante-natal and Baby clinic. Her professional success is mirrored by her blossoming love life and she is delighted when Poplar’s dashing young vicar Tom Hereward asks her to be his fiancé. However the relationshipo breaks up and Trixie loses control of her 'drinking' habits and is becoming an Alcholic.
In Series 5 Trixie regains control over her drinking habit and regulary attend AA meetings and starts her own Keep fit classes.

Helen George

Helen George (born 19 June 1984)[ is an English actress. She is best known for her role as Trixie Franklin on the BBC drama series, Call the Midwife. In 2015 she participated in the 13th series of BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing, she was paired with Aljaž Skorjanec, and finished sixth.
George attended the Royal Academy of Music, London, studying musical theatre. She gained her first role some two weeks after graduation in the play The Woman in White. She was a backing singer for Elton John.
Helen married Oliver Boot in December 2012 but divorced In August 2015.
In April 2016, she began dating her Call The Midwife co-star Jack Ashton when they went to South Africa to film the show's Christmas special. In September 2017, George and Ashton welcomed a daughter, Wren Ivy.

Trixie and Christopher

Helen was pregnant during the filming of series 7 of Call the Midwife. Her character Nurse Trixie Franklin made an emotional exit from the show after Helen's baby bump began to show and couldn't be hidden.
To create a plausible exit for her, Nurse Trixie was seen seeking help after spiralling back into alcoholism.
Helen then gave birth in real life to a little girl in September 2017.

In 2015 helen took part in the BBC's Strictly Come Dancing. She and her partner Aljaz Skorjanec finished 6th.

Helen - TV / Radio / Films

Helen attended the Royal Academy of Music, London, studying musical theatre. She gained her first role some two weeks after graduation in the play The Woman in White. She was a backing singer for Elton John during a tour, in which her sister Victoria Ingle also sang. She sang at venues including both Wembley Arena and the Royal Albert Hall. She also starred in the music video for singer Birdy's cover of "1901".
In 2012 Helen was cast in the role of Trixie on the BBC One series Call the Midwife, based on the book by Jennifer Worth
In previous TV acting roles she played smaller parts in Hotel Babylon, Hollyoaks and Doctors. Helen has also starred in The Three Musketeers and Scar Tissue Films.
In August 2015, George was announced as one of the celebrities who would compete in the thirteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing. She was partnered with professional dancer Aljaž Skorjanec. Despite continuously getting high remarks from the judges, George was eliminated in week 11, finishing in sixth place.

My Cousin Rachel - Theatre Royal Bath - November 2019

Helen George will star in a new stage adaptation of Daphne du Maurier’s My Cousin Rachel.Helen will play the leading role of Rachel in the production, which will run at the Theatre Royal Bath in November.Psychological thriller My Cousin Rachel became an international bestseller when it was released in 1951, and is one of du Maurier’s best-loved works alongside Rebecca and Jamaica Inn.
The mystery romance novel, largely set in Cornwall, was first made into a film in 1952 with Olivia de Havilland in the titular role, and again in 2017 with Rachel Weisz as the lead.The story tells a tale of trust and romance and deception, as young Philip learns that his wealthy relative Ambrose Ashley dies shortly after marrying their distant relative Rachel in Italy.Convinced that Rachel was responsible for Ambrose’s death, Philip travels to meet her in Cornwall, but becomes seduced by her charms, and is unsure if she is a gold-digger and responsible for the death of his loved-one, or if she is a victim of rumour and suspicion.
