Sister Winifred - Victoria Yeates
A warm-hearted, slightly innocent young woman, she has lived most of her life in the countryside. She has only recently qualified as a nurse and a midwife and is still to find her feet. She has mainly practiced in a small cottage hospital in a rural town and is shocked by the deprivation that greets her in the East End. Her grittiest work to date has been a stint as a Department of Education Head inspector (nit nurse). After being at Nonnatus House for over a year, Sister Winifred grows in confidence and has become a trusted member of the community.
After graduating from RADA in 2006 she took a series of weird and diverse stage roles. She attracted critical praise as Sybil in Noel Coward’s Private Lives at the Nottingham Playhouse, played Poppy Dickey in the famous Aldwych farce the Rookery Nook at the Menier Chocolate Factory and Jean Harlow in The Beard, Victoria also played Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible, Irene in Pains of Youth and 'Henny' in Walking on water.
Victoria's previous TV Roles were in Holby City and Lip service. In 2018 she was cast in Fantastic Beasts 2 The Crimes of Grindelwald.
